  1. Quick Installation of SuperVideo, IPA, and GX Controls Software
  2.  
  3. Your SuperMac graphics card includes the following software:
  4.  
  5. ‚Ä¢    SuperVideo‚Ñ¢ software, which controls acceleration, Virtual
  6.       Desktop‚Ñ¢, and other advanced features of your SuperMac 
  7.       graphics card
  8.  
  9. ‚Ä¢    SuperMac Image Processing Accelerator software, which
  10.       accelerates key Adobe Photoshop‚Ñ¢ filters and functions
  11.  
  12. ‚Ä¢    GX Controls (only if you have a Thunder II GX graphics card), 
  13.       which accelerates screen redraw when you work in Adobe 
  14.       Photoshop CMYK mode
  15.  
  16. This notice explains how to install IPA and GX software on your computer.  For instructions on how to install and use SuperVideo software, see the SuperVideo 3.0 README application.

  19. Installing the IPA Software

  21. Follow these instructions to install SuperMac Image Processing Accelerator (IPA) software for use with Adobe Photoshop versions 2.5 and later.

  23. 1.    Remove any earlier versions of the SuperMac Image Processing
  24.          Accelerator or ThunderStorm‚Ñ¢ software from your Macintosh¬Æ.
  25.          In addition, remove the old Image Processing Manager or
  26.        ThunderStorm control panel from the Control Panels folder.

  28. 2.    Insert the IPA/GX or SuperMac Image Processing Accelerator 
  29.       floppy disk into your Macintosh. A window appears that contains 
  30.       the IPA Software:

  52. Note:  The window contains the GX Controls folder only if you have a Thunder II GX card.

  54. 3.    Drag the Image Accel and IPA Motion Blur files into the folder 
  55.       where your other Photoshop Plug-ins reside.

  57. 4.    Drag the Image Processing Mgr file into your System Folder. 
  58.        Click OK to store the file with other control panels.

  60. 5.    Double-click the PicturePress Photoshop Plug-in Folder to open 
  61.        it, then drag the PicturePress Photoshop file into the folder 
  62.        where your other Photoshop Plug-ins reside. The PicturePress 
  63.        Plug-in README, included on the disk, describes how to use this 
  64.        file. Drag the README application to any convenient location on 
  65.        your hard disk, and double-click it to view the information.

  68. If you have Adobe Photoshop 2.0.1 or 2.0.2:

  70. 1.    Drag the IPA Motion Blur filter into the folder where your 
  71.          Photoshop Prefs file is located.
  72.  
  73. 2.    Double-click the PicturePress Photoshop Plug-in Folder to open 
  74.          it, then drag the PicturePress Photoshop file into the folder 
  75.          where your other Photoshop Plug-ins reside. The PicturePress 
  76.          Plug-in README describes how to use this file. Drag the 
  77.          README application to any convenient location on your hard 
  78.          disk, and double-click it to view the information.

  80. 3.    Double-click the Filters for Other Apps folder to open it, then 
  81.          drag all the filters contained in this folder to the folder where 
  82.          your Photoshop Prefs file is located.

  84. If you have an application that is compatible with Adobe Photoshop plug-in filters, refer to the applications‚Äôs user manual for installation instructions.

  88. Installing the GX Controls Software

  90. If you have a Thunder II GX graphics card:

  92. 1.    Double-click the GX Controls folder to open it. A window that 
  93.          contains a Photoshop Plug-ins folder appears:

  106. 2.    Double-click the Photoshop Plug-ins folder to open it. A 
  107.          window with three GX Controls plug-in files appears:

  123. 3.    If you have a Power Macintosh, copy the GX Controls/PPC 
  124.          plug-in to the folder where you keep your other Photoshop 
  125.          plug-ins. If you have a Quadra, a Centris, or an 040-based 
  126.          accelerator in another model of Macintosh, copy the GX 
  127.          Controls/040 plug-in to the folder where you keep your other 
  128.          plug-ins. For other Macintosh models, copy the GX Controls/030 
  129.          plug-in to the folder where you keep your other plug-ins.

  131. 4.    Restart your Macintosh.
